I've started propping it up so the back end isn't laying flat on anything, and don't use it much at all when it is plugged in- but nothing seems to help. I set it on my lap to move something around on the table and actually BURNED my bare leg. I don't keep it on my lap, the most I will do is balance it on my kneecaps, out towards the back corners, barely touching it. I installed a fan control which stays on at about 6200-6400rpm ALL the time, lowering the temp to about 160 (if I'm lucky) usually around 170.
